“When Akanishi started solo last year, ONE PIECE also helped me. At that time I wondered, “Doesn’t this look too split up?”, “Can we continue on like this?”. When I was troubled I was reminded of the scene where Luffy and gang bid farewell to Princess Vivi. It’s just like after Vivi rescued her country; although she wanted to continue on with Luffy, she had her own mission to fulfill. Luffy’s ship also still had to sail on despite of this. They are like the “ship” named KAT-TUN. Because of each other’s goals and dreams, there are those who remain on this ship and those who disembark, but our hearts remain linked. I think our bond will never change. ｢赤西がソロ活動をスタートさせた去年もスゲェ助けられた。バラバラになっちゃうんじゃないか、このままでいいのか、悩んでいた時に響いたのが、ルフィたちとビビが別れるシーン。母国を救うためにルフィたち海賊と共に戦ってきた王女ビビは、ずっと一緒に旅を続けたいけど、国に戻り、使命を果たさなきゃならない。そして、ルフィたちも船を止めることはできない。KAT-TUNという“船”も、お互いの夢や目標のため、船に残る者と離れる者に分かれるけど、心は常につながっている。絆は変わらない、と思えたんです｣”
